Espaço Aberto is a flexible rental space in the center of Cascais, on a quiet street just a few minutes from the town’s main spots.
It is 8 minutes from Cascais train station, 10 minutes from the bus station, and 5 minutes from Cascais Bay — all within an easy walk through the charming streets of the town.

Our Spaces
Big Auditorium
A bright and spacious 65 m² multifunctional room with ceilings over 3 metres high. The space can be easily adapted for lectures, seminars, workshops, classes, movement and bodywork sessions, film screenings, concerts, creative events, exhibitions and studio programmes.

For recurring rentals, and by prior agreement with Espaço Aberto, up to 10 minutes before and 10 minutes after each session may be provided for organisational setup and wrap-up. This time is not charged but must be included when making the booking.

A smaller, quieter room for individual work, small groups, tutoring, language classes, consultations, meetings and intimate workshops. Comfortably accommodates up to 8 people.

Kitchen
A fully equipped kitchen that can be used as part of events, classes and everyday activities at Espaço Aberto.
During events, it can be used for serving snacks and drinks, as well as for culinary workshops, chef-led events and other food-focused formats. Long-term renters and partners may also use the kitchen for their own meals and breaks, and parents waiting for children are welcome to spend time here.

Kitchen use- The Kitchen remains a shared common area unless it has been specifically booked for private use
- Guests and renters may not occupy the Kitchen exclusively unless this is included in their booking
- During regular use, cooking, reheating or eating food with strong or persistent odours is not permitted
- Cooking that may produce strong or persistent odours is possible for culinary workshops and food-focused events when the entire Espaço Aberto is booked exclusively
- In these cases, the booking must allow sufficient time for ventilation before the next visitors arrive
Hall
A shared entrance and common area with our book-sharing shelves, designed for welcoming guests and participants, waiting before classes or events, registration, and short breaks between activities.
The Hall can also be used as an informal gathering point during events and full-space bookings.

Rental Terms & Practical Information
Booking & Payment
One-off bookings are paid 100% in advance and confirmed once payment is received. Recurring rentals are paid monthly in advance. All prices exclude IVA.
Access & Timing
Regular days and times are reserved in advance. For recurring rentals of one month or longer, up to 10 minutes before and after each session may be provided for setup and wrap-up by prior agreement. Any additional time is charged at the current rate.
Common Areas & Equipment
Standard equipment in the booked room is included. Shared areas may be used for welcoming guests, waiting, and having water, tea or coffee, but are not reserved for exclusive use.
Storage
For rentals of one month or longer, storage of materials and equipment may be arranged with Espaço Aberto.
Cleaning
The room and any shared areas used must be left in the condition in which they were provided. Basic cleaning is included. Additional cleaning caused by food, decorations or programme materials is charged at €15 for each started group of 10 participants.
Cancellations
More than 48 hours in advance: 50% refund or one reschedule, subject to availability. Less than 48 hours: no refund or free rescheduling.

General Use & Responsibilities- The renter is responsible for the space, furniture and equipment during the booking
- The room must be left in the same condition in which it was provided
- Setup, guest arrival, event time and cleanup must fit within the booked time
- Any damage to the space or equipment must be reported to Espaço Aberto
- Activities involving unusual noise, special equipment, food service or changes to the room setup must be agreed in advance
- Personal belongings and equipment brought by the renter remain the renter’s responsibility
